Job Title: Superintendent

Location: Utah County/Tooele

About us: Brix Construction is a General Contractor Company based in Lehi, Utah. Brix provides services throughout the commercial construction process, where our experienced team collaborates closely with clients, architects, and designers, to successfully develop a variety of commercial buildings. Brix construction works from start to finish to complete these projects, from pre-construction to project completion, we are dedicated to every part of the process from the ground up.

Job Overview: Brix Construction is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join us as we continue to expand our team and take on more exciting commercial and multi-family projects throughout Utah and Salt Lake Counties. As a Superintendent with Brix Construction, you will be a key player in the success of building current and future commercial projects.

Job Duties:

  • On-Site Supervision: Coordinating and monitoring all site construction activities, trades, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Ensuring the project runs smoothly by successfully creating weekly schedules, preparing daily reports, work orders, time sheets, and conducting meetings with subcontractors on site.
  • Monitor project progress: identify and address project timelines, track project costs, and identify any issues that may impact the project timeline or budget.
  • Establish and maintain relationships: Support project teams, work collaboratively withclients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs and expectations are met.
  • Safety Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that all construction sites adhere to safety protocols, maintain jobsite OSHA Compliance, and that projects meet the required quality standards and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Tracking and completion: Work with project managers to ensure billing is up to date, subcontractors are paid, contract requirements are met, scope of work is fulfilled, RFIs, submittals, and completion of all final punch lists are done before occupancy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or 5 to 8 years of related experience working on commercial construction projects; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex plans, instructions, correspondences, memos, contract documents and specifications, and CPM Schedules.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and employees.
  • Possess strong computer skills, proficient in Procore, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
