Position Overview
The Project Engineer at Exyte plays a crucial role in overseeing and facilitating the management of construction project operations, particularly in process piping systems.

Key Responsibilities
As a Project Engineer, you will be tasked with:

  • Developing a thorough understanding of construction contract documents, including plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Preparing accurate and timely project documentation such as submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs), while maintaining tracking logs.
  • Receiving approved submittals from Architects or Engineers and informing the Project Team of any potential cost or schedule impacts.
  • Assisting the Project Team in completing all necessary project close-out documents as per contract requirements, including turnover packages, as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties, owner training, punch lists, and other related documentation.
  • Distributing contract documents to subcontractors, ensuring all necessary drawings, specifications, and final requirement documentation are included.
  • Coordinating all required construction meetings with relevant personnel, subcontractors, Architects, and Owners as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Participating in Owner/Architect pre-bid, project, and closeout meetings as required.
  • Supporting the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Procurement in the purchasing, expediting, and receiving of materials and equipment.
  • Managing the tracking, reproduction, and distribution of all drawings, specifications, sketches, and revisions.
  • Attending and contributing to construction meetings, taking and distributing meeting minutes as necessary.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in construction projects, ideally within Semiconductor and/or Pharmaceutical facilities.
  • The ability to comprehend drawings, specifications, and contract documents, as well as knowledge of materials, methods, and construction costs.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles, estimating, scheduling, and purchasing processes.
