Job Description:

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Project Manager with a PMP certification to join our team in the Riverview area. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing projects at both the federal and state levels and possess a basic understanding of geospatial, technical, or aviation business domains. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional to grow their career in program management within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Execution:
    • Assist in the development and implementation of project plans.
    • Coordinate project activities and ensure all project phases are documented appropriately.
    • Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  2. Stakeholder Management:
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including federal and state agencies, to understand project requirements and expectations.
    • Maintain positive relationships with clients, team members, and other project stakeholders.
    • Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to stakeholders.
  3. Risk Management:
    • Identify and assess project risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor and report on project risks, escalating issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  4. Resource Management:
    • Coordinate the allocation of project resources, including team members, equipment, and materials.
    • Ensure resources are used efficiently and effectively to achieve project objectives.
  5. Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
    • Conduct project reviews and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • PMP Certification: Required.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 1-3 years of experience in project management, preferably with exposure to federal and state projects.
    • Basic knowledge or experience in geospatial, technical, or aviation business is an added benefit.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in project management software and tools.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
