Front Office Patient Care Support

- Monday to Friday (9AM-2PM AND 1PM- 6PM)
- 25hrs per week
Job Description
SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Greets, instructs, directs and schedules patients and visitors. Answers incoming phone calls for appointment scheduling. Serves as a point person between patient and medical support staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Greets patients and visitors in person in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
2. Checks in-patients, verifies and updates demographic, insurance and other necessary
information in the computer records.
3. Collects co-payments and past due balances for accounts.
4. Schedules and maintains appointments through computerized scheduling program.
5. Sorts and delivers mail, medical records, and other correspondence. Uses computer system to add and distribute information to the patient electronic record or other appropriate sources.
6. Creates and faxes requested information.
7. Copies, sorts, and assembles documents as needed.
EDUCATION: High school graduation or GED required
EXPERIENCE: One-year work experience in a medical office setting desirable.y

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Computer Skills: 1 year (Preferred)
