Marrero, Couvillon & Associates is looking for a Construction Superintendent at Cannon AFB in New Mexico.
Qualifications and Skills
Requirements include:
- 7+ years of Construction Superintendent experience
- AAS or BS degree in Construction Management is a plus
- OSHA 10 Certification, minimum
- Must have a clean criminal background and be able to successfully pass a drug test
- Must be eligible to legally work in the U.S. and pass an E-Verify eligibility check.
- Must have very good communication skills; verbal and written.
- Must be able to demonstrate past project success.
- Must be able to effectively lead workers, both skilled and non-skilled, company and subcontractors.
- Must be able to represent the best interests of the company while interacting with the client / customers in a professional manner.
- Strong working knowledge of project planning and scheduling for construction trades
- Detailed knowledge of commercial/municipal construction practices
- Federal Construction Experience Preferred
Responsibilities and Duties
Typical Duties:
- Supervision and Coordination of Trade Contractors and Craft Workforce
- Planning and Scheduling
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control
- Participate in the planning and preparation of the project safety program.
- Conduct daily safety huddles and regular weekly safety meetings.
- Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) review during preparatory meetings with crews and subcontractors.
- Assess the site-specific safety training needs and conduct site safety training.
- Conduct regular walk through inspections of construction areas.
- Identify, document and recommend resolution of hazardous/potential hazardous conditions; follow through to insure corrections have been made.
- Investigate personal injury and property damage accidents.
- Compile data, photographs, etc.; prepare all pertinent forms and reports per program procedures and federal, state, local regulations associated with accidents.
- Assist in maintaining all safety systems and equipment, including but not limited to fire protection, fall protection, gas detectors, lock/out, tag/out and grounding systems.
