We are an independent insurance agency and have a wide variety of carriers to write business. This position is great for someone who is looking to get back into the workplace, someone looking for a change of pace, or someone looking to change agencies. Our agency prides itself on being a very understanding, flexible, and very laid-back environment in an industry that is often stressful or stuffy. The Life Insurance Producer position primarily is responsible for writing/selling life insurance policies to prospective and existing clients. This position also supports and assists the owner and other agents to a limited degree. These tasks vary but often include managing agency correspondence, interacting with customers and insurance companies, and very limited servicing of policies.

 

General Responsibilities and Duties

·Interact with customers in a variety of ways to assist with selling life insurance policies such as Term and Permanent life policies

·Answer, craft, and create communications on behalf of the agency

·Contact current customers to cross-sell life insurance policies

-Prospect customers from outside of the agency book to write new life policies

·Coordinate with insurance companies on a variety of issues

-While this is a remote position, the candidate should be located in Virginia

 

Qualifications

·Active Life/Health or Life/Annuity Producer license preferred but not required if willing to acquire one in a short period of time

·Virginia P&C Insurance license is preferred but is not required

·Good understanding of general business computer usage

·We are very flexible on schedule, and you can set your own hours, but the ideal candidate would need to be available during generally accepted business hours as most of our business is done during that time

·Great Personality and great customer service.

·High School Diploma or GED

·Must be 18 years old or older

·Must have a working and reliable laptop computer

·Must be able to pass a criminal background check

 

Salary

Negotiable hourly pay during training

Negotiable commission-based pay after training
