Electrical Panel Shop Manager

Oversee the daily operations of the electrical panel shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical control equipment, sensors, power systems, team management, and compliance with industry standards, specifically UL508A. This role involves managing personnel, ensuring production efficiency, and achieving certification goals.
Responsibilities
Oversee the production, assembly, and testing of electrical panels.
Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget.
Recruit, train, and supervise shop personnel.
Develop and implement plans to ensure compliance with UL508A standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UL standards and other relevant regulations.
Lead the shop through the certification process to achieve official UL508A certification.
Implement and monitor quality control procedures.
Ensure all products meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve any quality issues that arise.
Oversee inventory levels and manage procurement of materials and supplies.
Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and reduce costs.
Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of National Electric Code, NFPA, OSHA and UL principles and practices
- Prefer a candidate with a valid TDLR Registered Journeyman or Master Electricians License and have completed a 4 year apprenticeship program or trade school
- Proven experience in managing an electrical panel shop or similar environment.
In-depth knowledge of UL508A standards and certification processes.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Comply with safety requirements, company safety program and ensure those working with and around are complying with all safety requirements, programs and procedures
