Overview:

We are seeking two skilled Vehicle Diagnostic Technicians to join our team at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in mechanics and vehicle repair, with the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle issues. This position involves working in a large tented area, so applicants must be prepared to dress accordingly for weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, ranging from pinched wires to replacing modules and reassembling parts.
• Disassemble and reassemble IP panels, radios, center consoles, doors, etc.
• Read diagnostic documents and decide whether to run diagnostic tests using provided tablets or to disassemble parts for repair.
• Run configuration or final tests to clear codes and configure the vehicle after repairs.
• Reassemble all parts to complete the repair process.
• Use standard tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and ratchets (tools are provided).
• Maintain accurate records of diagnostic tests and repairs performed.

Qualifications:
• Strong mechanical skills and vehicle repair knowledge.
• Experience with diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicle issues.
• Ability to use standard mechanic tools effectively.
• Eagerness to learn quickly, take initiative, and be a self-starter.
• Ability to work 2nd shift hours (4:00 PM - 4:00 AM) or 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM), 7 days a week
• Flexibility to provide coverage and ensure each individual gets a day off.

Training and Support:
• Comprehensive training will be provided.
• A support system will be available to answer questions and provide assistance as needed.
