Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for a CDL licensed truck driver who will manage the safe and prompt delivery of goods to our residential customer, construction sites and local branches. You will an integral part to our company's success, whether you are delivering to one of our branches or directly to one of our customers. You will be tasked with driving and maintaining a flatbed truck that will be assigned to you, as well as collaborating closely with our team of dispatchers to plan routes and track deliveries.

To succeed as a delivery driver, you must have a Class A CDL commercial driver license, have a clean driving record, pass a background check as well as a drug and alcohol test. You should be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our clients with an excellent experience. You should be thorough in ensuring that all orders being delivered are properly fulfilled, committed to work safety, and enthusiastic about satisfying clients.

Truck Driver Responsibilities:

· Delivery and transfer of goods to local Residential customers, Businesses and Qdi Surfaces Branches.

· Load and unload cargo with Piggy back forklift .

· Accurately record cargo deliveries.

· Refuel, keep all aspects of maintenance, and clean vehicle

· Report road incidents to the dispatcher

· Follow traffic laws

· Inspect trucks and record issues, report mechanical problems management

· Follow accident procedures

· Keep activities log and log hours

· Get goods to the client on time and support a positive attitude with customers

· Keep commercial driver license up to date

· Ability to follow the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Hours of Service (HOS) manual and/or Electronic Long Data (ELD)

· Conduct Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) per the FMCSA

· Any other duties required of this position

Minimum Qualifications:

· 1+ year of commercial driving experience

· Must pass DOT drug test

· Must pass a background check and motor vehicle report

· Must supply valid Medical Card and valid CDL Class A

· Ability to maneuver forklift

· Ability to maneuver flatbed with piggy back forklift

· Ability to maneuver in residential as well as construction area's.

· Ability to lift 100 lbs.

· Maintain prompt time management skills and ensure all safety procedures are being followed

· Good customer service and communication skills.

· Ability to follow written, oral direction as well as read, interpret, and follow company policies and procedures, state, and federal regulations

· Maintain accurate logbook
