Job Summary:

The warehouse coordinator is responsible for monitoring the supply and distribution operations of a warehouse, loading, and unloading merchandise from the delivery trucks, and storing items appropriately in the facility. Warehouse coordinators assist in packing and labeling items, pulling out products from delivery, and ensuring the correct quantity and quality of the items before release. They also inspect the efficiency and performance of warehouse tools and equipment, especially on schedule for regular maintenance, and call for repairs as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages the packaging and shipment of products, ensuring quality standards and on time delivery schedules are consistently met.
  • Reviews shipment and receiving reports to ensure safety, quality, and delivery goals and standards are met.
  • Manages and organizes storage to ensure product and component integrity and availability.
  • Assists with inventory management and reconciliation.
  • Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health and safety staff.
  • Identifies and communicates training opportunities for staff to build and improve skill set.
  • Organizes departmental structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.
  • Collaborations with Director of Production on equipment purchases, maintenance, and layout.
  • Kit the proper parts to be shipped to customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of industrial management or warehouse management experience required.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Strong computer skills with emphasis on Enterprise Resource planning (ERP) software such as SAP or Business Central


Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Shipping and receiving workflows
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management
  • Strong organizational and management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and utilize effective decision-making skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capable and willing to maintain confidentiality.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will not supervise but may assist employees related to specific projects across other departments within the organization.

Work Environment:

This role can be quite stressful, particularly when there are problems or issues arise, and the need to be to always remain calm and in control. May work in a fast-paced environment. Work is primarily conducted in warehouse which is not air conditioned and can get hot in summer months.

 

Physical Demands:

While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and converse with employees, maintain a stationary position (standing and sitting), move/traverse, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms for extended periods. This position must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
