Our thriving Orthopaedic practice is beginning to search for a full-time experienced Medical Assistant.

We are looking for a professional who believes that patients should be treated as people rather than numbers in a file, and who understands the value of compassionate service. The job includes significant amounts of multi-tasking, but the ideal candidate will know when to slow down, look patients in the eye and provide personalized service. This position will be Monday-Wednesday from 8:15 AM- 5:00 PM, Thursday from 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, and Friday 7:30AM - 3:30PM.

*Thursday and Friday operate under summer hours May - August, the remainder months are Thursday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, and Friday 8:30AM - 4:30PM

Full-Time benefits are offered and will be discussed during the interview process.

As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of our clinic. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares patients for examination
  • Verifies patient information by interviewing patients, recording medical history, and confirming the purpose of the visit.
  • Saves doctors’ time by helping with office procedures.
  • Counsels patients by transmitting physician’s orders and questions about surgery will also help to organize and schedule surgeries
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
  • Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

  • Proven working experience as a medical assistant
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Degree in medical assisting is preferred, but not required
