Job DescriptionJob Description

Awnings Above, a commercial awning manufacturer located in Duluth, Georgia is looking for an entry level MIG Welder. You will be cutting material, cleaning, grinding, polishing, and welding awning products, as necessary. A list of welding qualifications is not necessary but some MIG/TIG welding experience is preferred. You must be team-oriented and need to be able to take direction and ask questions. Mathematical skills are critical so you can take measurements and make mathematical calculations. We are looking for individuals that will show up on time, have a good work ethic, and are willing to take direction and learn.

Requirements

  • A Welding Diploma from a certified program, or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of welding experience
  • Valid US driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Legally eligible to work in the US
  • Pass background check and drug testing
  • Strong communication skills to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Part of the interview will be to perform a welding test to include:
    • · Aluminum MIG process using Aluma-Pro push pull lead
    • · 2 joints in Vertical down
    • · 2 joints in flat
    • · Corner section of product that includes joints
    • · Please bring welding protective gear

 

Our hours of operation are 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday
