Job Title: Non-Tipped Barista

Location: University Setting, Evansville, IN

Position Type: Part-Time/Full-Time

Pay Rate: 14.00/ hour

Job Description:

As a Non-Tipped Barista in a university setting, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and crafting high-quality beverages for students, faculty, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing a variety of coffee, tea, and other specialty drinks according to customer preferences, operating cash registers and credit card machines, and ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service with a friendly and professional demeanor. Engage with customers to understand their beverage preferences and offer recommendations.
• Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve hand-crafted beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, following standard recipes and customer specifications.
• Cash Handling: Operate cash registers and credit card machines efficiently and accurately. Handle transactions, process payments, and issue receipts.
• Customer Relations: Address and resolve customer complaints or questions promptly, maintaining good customer relations and ensuring satisfaction.
• Maintenance: Keep the workspace clean, organized, and well-stocked. Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other baristas and staff to ensure smooth operation and timely delivery of beverages.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle cash transactions and operate register systems.
• Attributes: Friendly, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and a passion for providing great customer service.
• Availability: Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
