Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for an effective Warehouse Associate/Technician to direct receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing, and dispatch of a wide variety of products. You should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly. We have 3-5 delivery drivers with 2-6 stops per day. We are a government contractor providing durable medical equipment services to the Department of Veteran’s Affairs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategically assist warehouse manager in compliance with company’s policies and vision
  • Receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
  • Able to assist the technicians on the road to complete VA orders including but not limited to occasional ramp installations
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
  • Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
  • Other duties assigned

 

Skills:

  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Experience with warehouse and inventory software
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
  • Leadership skills and ability manage staff
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible Team Player to assist warehouse technicians

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Warehouse and inventory experience

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to frequently lift and move items of various weight and sizes

 

Pay:

  • $19.00 to $21.00 per hour

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (Required)

 

Work Hours schedule:

  • M-F,  8am -4:30pm and Overtime will be required at times for installations

 

Location:

  • Roseburg, OR Warehouse – 3 days in the warehouse and possibly 2 days on the road depending on the job; could vary from week to week
