Cost Accountant

Our manufacturing client is seeking a strong cost accountant to start ASAP in their accounting department The ideal candidate would have experience with ERP systems (Netsuite, SAP, etc.) and 3-5 years in cost accounting for a manufacturing company.
JOB FUNCTION: The Cost Accountant will interface with finance, manufacturing, and management personnel to provide accurate timely reporting and analysis of financial and operational information.
Job Duties
- Collect and organize cost information into a database of expenses.
- Determine and calculate formulas for fixed and variable costs.
- Provide financial support to local and corporate management through expense, production, and variance reporting.
- Prepare cost forecasts for monthly, quarterly, or annual operating schedules.
- Analyze month-end and year-end reports and identify / recommend cost-effective improvements.
- Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
- Familiarity with accounting software programs.
- ERP experience, preferably in NetSuite.
- Computer literacy skills, especially with Microsoft Excel, and basic data entry and computation.
- Analytical skills with a keen sense of organization and detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and generate results in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in activity-based costing for fixed and variable costs in relation to the overall direct cost of a line of products.
- Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or Finance, with 5+ years of experience as a cost accountant, analyst, or other relevant role.
