Job DescriptionJob Description

As our Manufacturing HR & Operations Manager, your strong managerial skills and HR background will allow you to make meaningful contributions to our manufacturing facility. This position will provide beneficial administrative and personnel support to the business.

A typical day will involve the following tasks:

  • Manage personnel matters by spearheading activities including recruitment, onboarding, employee retention, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and other confidential employee matters.
  • Implement and monitor employee training and development programs.
  • Enforce compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations by working with the company's legal counsel.
  • Manage the creation and editing of the daily production schedule to ensure the schedule meets sales requirements.
  • Act as liaison between the manufacturing and sales departments so customer needs are met and understood between the departments.
  • Oversee the timely collection and evaluation of production data, identifying areas for improvement based on the data.
  • Manage and continue to develop the safety program for the manufacturing departments.
  • Perform other duties as instructed by the Director of Manufacturing, Legal Counsel, and Plant Manager.

About You/Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field
  • At least 2 years' experience working in a manufacturing, distribution or purchasing environment
  • At least 3 years' experience with people management and/or Human Resources experience/training
  • Advanced level of comfort working with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Desired: Experience with MRP, buying, supply and demand management and forecasting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In depth experience with managing confidential and sensitive matters.
