As the Low Voltage Service Technician, you’re not just a team player—you’re the backbone of our on-site operations You’ll collaborate closely with our expert Foreman, translating complex blueprints into stunning realities. Your day-to-day will be a thrilling mix of installing cutting-edge tech like structured cabling, security cameras, and PoE lighting, and ensuring everything is running like clockwork. Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Arrive punctually at the shop as scheduled or when directed, in accordance with company guidelines. On service or warranty visits, assess system issues, propose solutions, secure approval in line with company protocol, and execute effective repairs immediately. Complete assigned tasks on the Work Order promptly and continually strive to streamline workflow and increase efficiency.
  • Accurately record work hours daily or per job into the designated app and fully understand the scope of work before commencement. Obtain supervisory consent for any labor hours exceeding the Work Order estimate. Transition between job sites as instructed during the workday, tracking time and movements accurately.
  • Immediately report any client issues or damages to the Project Manager. Support colleagues as necessary, contributing to a harmonious team environment. Check in with the Project Manager when changing locations and at day’s end. Represent the company professionally through your presence, dialogue, work ethic, and tidiness at job sites.
  • Adhere to and value company procedures. Keep the work vehicle's inventory precise to reduce supply house visits and ensure excellence in all tasks—aim for zero rework. Promptly log used parts with their numbers in the app to facilitate accurate billing. Seek assistance proactively when a situation is beyond your expertise.
  • Stay informed about the company’s offerings and suggest additional services to customers before job completion. Promote the benefits of regular maintenance and upsell service contracts. Never initiate work without a Work Order, customer confirmation, or managerial approval. Thoroughly complete Work Orders and input parts information into the app.
  • Fill out time cards on-site, detailing the work done. For customer requests outside the initial work scope, contact the office for a change order—do not proceed without proper authorization. Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times. Engage with clients and colleagues respectfully and professionally.
  • Keep meticulous inventory records, documenting all stock movements. Return unused materials to the warehouse with appropriate labeling, checking them in with a supervisor. Aid in keeping the warehouse orderly and clean. Be prepared to undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Foreman.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED with an eagerness to learn and grow.
  • A knack for mechanics and the curiosity to develop new skills.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication prowess.
  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving slate.
  • A professional demeanor that shines.
  • Clear a background check and drug test like a champion.
  • Own or be ready to acquire the tools of the trade.
  • Physical robustness to take on the demands of the job.
  • A head for heights and a flexibility to adapt to various work environments.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile with overtime and weekend work, if called upon.
