Confidence Ed Math Tutors is looking for qualified Math Tutors to join our team.

At Confidence Ed, we have high expectations for our tutors AND students. This candidate must be able to function as a successful math coach, supporting both the conceptual understanding and overall success of their students. We have their best interests in mind and we support their journey to the best of our ability. This person must be passionate about teaching/learning and willing to help young adults reach their potential.

You will...

  • Work directly with the students, using your skills and experience to support their math efforts.

  • Support student classwork and provide additional practice work as necessary.

  • Provide post-tutoring session notes for families.

  • Build and maintain confidence in their math abilities.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE - MUST know:

  • Middle School Math Foundational Skills

  • Algebra 1 & 2

  • High School Geometry

FLEXIBLE HOURS - Tutoring hours are scheduled independently between tutors and families. (Most sessions occur after school or weekends.)

TEACHING LOCATION - Candidate must be able to travel to student location (Essex County NJ), teach from our location in Verona NJ and/or provide tutoring online via ZOOM. Reliable transportation required.

AVAILABILITY - Candidates need to have an availability of at least two afternoons and/or evenings a week plus weekends.

Job Type: Part-time/Contractor
Pay: $40 - $50 per hour based on experience

EXPERIENCE - MUST have previous tutoring or teaching experience to be considered.

EDUCATION - Bachelor's Degree in Math or Related Field (earning or currently held)
