Pharmacy Clerk

Duration – 03+ Months
Salary range: $22-$24/hr.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (Overtime and some holiday work required)
The Pharm Clerk will focus primarily on the packing of dispensed medications by way of automated, semi-automated and manual means. Packing of cold medications will require frequent lifting of boxes of ice packs weighing up to 50 lbs. Additionally, Pharm Clerk duties will include sorting finished (packed) parcels for transfer to our partner carriers. All duties require standing.
Duties may at some point during employment include all of the below:
- Inventory/warehouse duties, including proper storage of drugs and supplies and appropriate refrigeration of perishable product, monitor and adjust/calibrate pharmacy equipment, fill dispensing units
- Daily box preparation work
- Create or fix any shipping labels as needed
- Bring packages to shipping, Mail, and Courier as needed
- Monitor prescription drug inventory within pharmacy computer system
- Receive inventory and ensure accurate product receipt
- Assist with discrepancy resolution
- Maintain proper storage of prescription drug inventory
- Perform cycle counting activities and complete order processing
- Hours are Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:30pm.
- Overtime is occasionally required and we work some holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Packing Medications:
- Utilize automated, semi-automated, and manual methods for packing dispensed medications.
- Handle cold medication packing, including lifting boxes of ice packs (up to 50 lbs.).
- Sort finished parcels for transfer to partner carriers.
- Inventory/Warehouse Duties:
- Ensure proper storage of drugs and supplies.
- Refrigerate perishable products appropriately.
- Monitor and adjust/calibrate pharmacy equipment.
- Fill dispensing units.

- Perform daily box preparation tasks.
- Shipping Tasks:
- Create or fix shipping labels as needed.
- Bring packages to shipping, mail, and courier services.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor prescription drug inventory within the pharmacy computer system.

- Assist with discrepancy resolution.
- Maintain proper storage of prescription drug inventory.
- Perform cycle counting activities and complete order processing.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management.
