Role Summary:

The Pharmacy Clerk is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the pharmacy, including packing medications, handling shipments, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role requires physical labor, attention to detail, and the ability to handle repetitive tasks efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Properly pack medications according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Prepare palletized shipments for carrier pickup.
  • Create or correct shipping labels as needed.
  • Bring packages to shipping, mail, and courier services as required.
  • Ensure adequate stock of gel packs (ice and ambient) for daily shipments.
  • Ensure all production supplies are fully stocked at all times.
  • Receive various goods throughout the day and verify the accuracy of deliveries.
  • Learn and operate commercial courier and shipping systems.
  • Utilize pallet jacks to move pallets in and out of trucks and around the facility.
  • Handle 45-pound boxes of ice gel packs frequently.
  • Empty trash bins as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
  • Assist customers with inquiries and provide information about products and services.
  • Handle transactions and process payments as needed.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, and move boxes and other materials.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.


Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a pharmacy setting or similar role is preferred.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Basic computer skills for creating and fixing shipping labels.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
