- Lab Excellence: Perform and manage in-house lab tests, including hematology, biochemistry, urinalysis, and cytology.
- Patient Comfort: Provide specialized nursing care, including administering fluids and blood products, and monitoring intensive care patients.
- Client Education: Empower pet owners with the knowledge they need to care for their pets, discussing preventive care, wellness topics, and treatment plans.
- Surgical Support: Administer and monitor anesthesia, assist during surgical procedures, and ensure safe recovery.
- Dental Health: Conduct dental cleanings, scale and polish teeth, and assist with oral surgeries.
- Diagnostic Precision: Take and process digital radiographs, maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate medical records to support ongoing patient care.
- Educational Background: Associate’s degree in applied science, veterinary technology.
- Certification: State license to work as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician.
- Skills: Strong technical skills in veterinary medicine and surgery; excellent communication and client education abilities; proficiency in veterinary practice-management software.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and restrain patients up to 50 pounds, with assistance for heavier weights.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
