Title: Shipping Clerk

Primary Function: Receives and verifies accuracy of incoming shipments

Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for monitoring and record all inventory transfers and receipts. Accurately record all details of inventory moves

·         Working with other departments such as quality control or production

·         Maintaining organization in the warehouse

·         Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence or product code

·         Utilizes material handling equipment such as forklifts and electric pallet jack

·         Mark material with proper identifying information

·         Prepare and record shipments for warehouse transfer

·         Follows all necessary SOP’s

·         Stocking the floor and staging areas

·         Create and schedule UPS/FedEx shipments

·         Participate in process improvement projects as needed

Requirements:

·         ERP experience a MUST

·         Computer knowledge a MUST

·         Must be able to read and write using the English language

·         Scanning guns

·         Knowledge of warehouse environment and logistics operations

·         Ability to read, understand and follow instructions on an SOP is critical in this role.

·         Must have basic math skills

·         Must be certified to drive standing and sitting forklift

·         Must be able to interact with computer system and make basic transactions accurately

·         Ability to lift a up to 50 lbs

·         Ability to stand – 85% of the time

·         Ability to bend, reach and stretch.
