Job Summary/Company:
Sparks Group has teamed with a higher education client and is searching for a qualified and motivated Sponsored Projects Analyst. The Analyst will support post-award sponsored research project activity and large portions of internally funded research. You will serve as a representative and lead institutional review and approval of post-awards. They will have prior experience in the related field and ability hit the ground running. Responsibilities:

  • In charge of overseeing sponsored post-award projects from inception to award.
  • This roles serve as a point of contact for the university in all dealings with federal, state, and private funding agencies.
  • Key duties include creating proposals, conducting negotiations, setting up and managing post-awards, and providing reports to sponsors.
  • Review incoming award terms, address unusual circumstances, and obtain optimal conditions for University & PI
  • Recommend award agreements for endorsement and accept awards with appropriate signature authority
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with University, federal, and agency regulations for research conduct


Qualifications/Background Profile:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; Masters preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant, current complex Sponsored Projects experience in a nonprofit or academic setting
  • Experience in post-award functions related to sponsors, like Federal/State agencies, nonprofits, and industry-related organizations
  • Cultivate successful profitable relationships with the ability to leverage networks, lead teams and prove strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to think critically and analytically

This job is Hybrid Remote.

Pay Range: Hourly $38.00 to $41.00
