Job Summary:
The Development Manager/Grant Writer is responsible for managing the organization's fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor relations, and fundraising campaigns. This role is crucial in securing the financial resources necessary to support [Your Organization's Name] programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grant writing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Grant Writing and Management:
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other funding sources.
- Write, prepare, and submit high-quality grant proposals, letters of intent, and supporting documents in accordance with funder guidelines and deadlines.
- Develop and maintain a grant calendar to track submission deadlines, reporting requirements, and renewal opportunities.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and data for grant applications.
- Must assist in raising 75k in order to support our strategic initiative and programmatic goals. 
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all grant requirements and report on the progress of funded programs.

 Fundraising and Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet annual revenue goals.
- Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, including annual appeals, major gifts, and special events.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors, sponsors, and partners.
- Manage donor databases and ensure accurate record-keeping and timely acknowledgments of contributions.
- Prepare and present regular reports on fundraising activities and progress to senior leadership and the board of directors.

 Communications and Outreach:
- Create compelling and persuasive communication materials, including newsletters, impact reports, and donor updates.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop and disseminate fundraising materials and promote events.
- Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and other networking opportunities to increase visibility and support.

 Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, English, Public Relations, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, and/or nonprofit development.
- Proven track record of securing significant funding through grants and donations.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in using donor management software (e.g., DonorPerfect, Raiser’s Edge) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of fundraising best practices, donor cultivation, and stewardship strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential.
- Experience in [specific area related to your organization, e.g., healthcare, education, environmental conservation].
- Familiarity with local and regional funding landscape.

 Work Environment:
- Typical office environment with occasional travel for meetings, conferences, and events.
- Flexible working hours, with occasional evenings and weekends required for special events or deadlines.

This role is PART TIME and can expect 10hr - 15hrs weekly.
