Duties and Responsibilities

• Hospitality-minded with an interest in fine dining cuisine and wine knowledge.
• Be knowledgeable about local entertainment options.
• Tock reservations platform knowledge.
• Table numbers, section divisions and position knowledge.
• Keep a neat, groomed appearance as per The Allison guidelines.
• Be in proper, clean, well maintained uniform at all times.
• Follow side-work directions and maintain restaurant in a clean, organized fashion.
• Stock host stand with needed supplies.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness per JORY and Oregon state health guidelines.
• Follow service guidelines through the complete meal service, through closing.
• Serve as liaison with front desk and restaurant managers for guests needs and comments.
• Point of contact for large party reservations. Upsell tasting menu & wine pairings, gather dietary preferences & any pertinent information.
• Manager Approval to resolve discounts, voids and guest issues.
• Interact with guests when a manager is not available to resolve issues.
• Approve server EOD reports & Tips Sheets
• Retrieve wine/liquor from cellars
• When necessary, take guest orders, bus tables, deliver food & beverage
• Open / Close restaurant when necessary
• Other duties possibly assigned by JORY Managers as necessary

Job Skills/Requirements/Qualifications

• Required experience: 1 year in a restaurant, stand alone or hotel.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all team members.
• An enthusiastic, positive demeanor and desire to provide exceptional guest service.
• Pre-Employment Background Check / Drug Screening.
• OLCC License required.
• Oregon Food Handlers Permit required.

Working conditions/Physical Requirements

• Ability to bend and lift up to 50 pounds of boxes, supplies, etc.
• Ability to carry up to 25 pounds across the distance of the various dining areas.
• Ability to reach with hand and arms, sit, stand, walk, use stairways to climb throughout the property, be in refrigerated areas, and to talk or hear.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• The noise level is moderate.
• The work environment has frequent temperature swings as the employee moves between guest spaces, outdoors, and refrigerators for example.
