**Job Title:** Licensed Cosmetologist and Stylist Assistant AND BRAIDER

**Job Description:**

We are seeking a skilled and experienced licensed cosmetologist and stylist assistant to join our salon team, specializing in diverse hair care. The ideal candidate must possess expertise in various hair textures and styles, with a particular focus on curly hair textures. As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction through the delivery of high-quality hair care services.

**Responsibilities:**

1. Properly shampoo and condition hair, considering the specific needs of diverse hair textures.
2. Expertly blow dry curly hair textures straight, utilizing appropriate techniques and products to achieve desired results while minimizing damage.
3. Perform braiding, cornrowing, weaving, and other intricate hair styling techniques with precision and creativity.
4. Execute silk press treatments, ensuring hair is straightened effectively while maintaining its health and integrity.
5. Style hair according to client preferences, incorporating trends and techniques to enhance their overall appearance.
6. Consult with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and any specific concerns related to their hair.
7. Recommend appropriate hair care products and treatments to clients to maintain their hair health and style between salon visits.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the salon, including workstations, tools, and equipment.
9. Assist senior stylists with various tasks as needed, including color application, client consultations, and scheduling appointments.
10. Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, and products in the hair care industry to continuously enhance skills and knowledge.

**Requirements:**

1. Valid cosmetology license.
2. Proven experience in diverse hair care, with proficiency in working with various hair textures, including curly hair.
3. Strong proficiency in shampooing, blow drying, braiding, cornrowing, weaving, silk pressing, and styling hair.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced salon environment.
6. Creativity and passion for the hair care industry.
7. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality services.
8. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
9. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
10. Commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
