Ambulance Repair Technician

Job Description: Professional Sales and Service, a fast growing ambulance dealership covering the western United States is looking to fill an essential position of Ambulance Service Technician in our brand new Gilbert, Arizona service/sales center. As an Ambulance Service Technician, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional maintenance, repairs, and support to our clients' ambulances both at their locations and in our service facility. This dynamic position offers you the chance to travel to customer sites in a fully equipped service vehicle and also work in a professional service center, in addition we offer comprehensive training and certification opportunities for you to further develop your technical expertise in emergency vehicle maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mobile service and support for ambulance vehicles applicable to the ambulance portion of the vehicle at customer locations, including hospitals, medical facilities, and fire departments.
- Conduct routine and comprehensive inspections of ambulances to identify and address issues.
- Execute necessary repairs and part replacements, following manufacturer guidelines and dealership standards, both on-site and at the service facility.
- Install new electronics and specialized equipment in ambulances, ensuring they meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Prepare new ambulances for delivery, conducting thorough inspections and quality checks to ensure they are fully operational and meet customer requirements.
- Utilize hand and power tools skillfully to ensure efficient and effective service operations.
- Document all service activities in a detailed and organized manner, including inspection reports, repair records, and part orders.
- Coordinate with the service manger and territory salesman to schedule appointments and manage service requests efficiently, both for mobile service and facility service.
- Maintain a well-organized and clean work environment within the service facility.
- Stay updated with industry advancements, technological innovations, and new ambulance models to enhance your technical knowledge.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries quickly and efficiency.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with automotive systems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Willingness to participate in company-sponsored training programs to expand technical skills.
- Previous experience in vehicle maintenance or related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced service environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
