Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team at Advanced Ceramic Fibers, LLC. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing mechanical systems and components for our advanced ceramic fiber products. Your work will contribute to the overall success of our company by ensuring that our materials meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test mechanical systems and components for advanced ceramic fibers, including but not limited to motors, gears, bearings, and cooling systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new and improved products, processes, and technologies.
- Conduct detailed analysis and calculations to ensure the mechanical systems and components meet specifications and performance requirements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing instructions.
- Use CAD software to design and model mechanical systems and components.
- Evaluate and select materials and suppliers for mechanical components.
- Identify and troubleshoot potential design and manufacturing issues, and provide solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Excellent understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or ProE.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with advanced ceramic materials and their application is a plus.
Salary: $40,000 to $57,000 yearly
