Job Functions
- Fill out quote worksheet and establish folder for engineering department.
- Process requests for quotes for raw materials, special equipment, packaging, and outside services.
- Process quote worksheet information into formal quotations.
- Track and monitor disposition of quotes.
- Formalize feasibility assessments.
- Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of customer quotations.
- Ability to inter-face, gather information and monitor the performance of outside vendors and suppliers.
- Continually research and evaluate suppliers who provide the best value.
- Strive to reduce quote turn around time through improved methods.
- Complete customer cost breakdowns
Competencies(The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the job successfully.)
– Experience with estimating in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
– Must have good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
– Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
