The Killino Firm, P.C., a growing national personal injury law firm, has an immediate opening for an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal/Legal Secretary. The successful candidate will be able to provide assistance through all phases of the litigation process, in various state and federal courts across the country.

This is a fully remote opportunity and requires that the candidate have excellent technology and computer skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer a multi-line phone and complete new client intakes
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and experts in a professional and proficient manner
  • Day-to-day case management duties
  • Assisting with the preparation, filing, and service of pleadings, including Complaints, Motions, and Briefs
  • Request and obtain medical records
  • Draft correspondence, demand packages, and pleadings
  • Coordinating the collection, review, and production of documents and responding to discovery requests, including Interrogatories, Requests for Production of Documents, Requests for Admissions, etc.
  • Assist with trial preparation

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal certificate, from an ABA-accredited program preferred, or a combination of education and/or experience
  • 2-3 years experience as a civil litigation paralegal/legal assistant in a law firm setting, preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Proficiency with various software programs: Office 365, Sharepoint, Pacer, Adobe, and Westlaw, preferred
  • Experience in the following states is preferred, but not required: Pennsylvania, California, New York, New Jersey, and Florida
