Job DescriptionJob Description

Position Title: CNC Press Break Operator 

Wage: $21.20/hr + $2 shift premium 

Shift: 2nd Shift 

Hours: Monday – Thursday (3:35pm – 12:05am) Fridays start one hour earlier, at 2:35PM and end one hour earlier - Saturdays as needed. 

*Must be able to train on 1st shift*  

(1st Shift is 6:00 AM - 2:35PM and 5:00AM - 3:35PM for when overtime is in effect)   

We ask all 2nd shift applicants to be available 2:35PM - 2:05AM for when overtime is in effect, it is mandatory.  

If hired for 2nd shift, must be willing to work on 2nd shift for at least the 1st year of employment. 

 

GENERAL BASIC FUNCTIONS: 

As a press brake operator, your job is to operate press brake machines to shape various types of metal. In this role, you may inspect blueprints for a project, set up your machine, perform regular maintenance, inspect metal while shaping it, and make adjustments as needed. 

 

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:  

 

Prepare and set up 

Read blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine the required forming operation and product measurements. 

Select and install the necessary dies and tooling and position the metal sheets onto the press brake. 

Operate 

Adjust the machine to control speed, material feed, and bend path, and then operate the press brake to cut and bend the materials into shape. 

Inspect 

Visually inspect the finished product for defects and ensure it meets quality standards and specifications. 

Maintain 

Perform routine maintenance on the press brake and keep the work area clean. 

Program 

Use the CNC system to program new parts to fit the design. 

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Experience: Minimum of at least 1-year related work experience is needed to be considered for these positions. 

  • Must be able to pass in-office assessment to be considered for position
