Amazon Category Manager

Status: Full-Time

Compensation: $110K--$130K salary commensurate with experience

Location: Seattle, WA (Initial remote with a shift to in-office once an office location is established)


Zinus seeks a strategically minded Amazon Category Manager to join our team. This role will be an excellent fit for someone with a proven track record of growth with the Amazon business, among other manufacturing sales companies.

As an Amazon Category Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by managing and expanding the sales of Amazon's products and services to businesses and organizations. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers, understanding their business needs, and offering tailored solutions to help them succeed on the Amazon platform. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service and meet sales targets.



Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize our product listings on Amazon, ensuring our product is in the best-selling ranking.
  • Monitor and update our inventory levels, pricing, and promotions on Amazon, using data and tools to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Plan and execute effective advertising campaigns on Amazon, using various methods such as sponsored products, brands, displays, and video ads.
  • Analyze and report on our e-commerce performance using metrics such as sales, conversion, traffic, ranking, reviews, feedback, and return on ad spend (ROAS).
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement and growth, such as expanding into new categories, markets, or platforms, launching new products, or optimizing existing ones.
  • Manage and resolve any issues or challenges related to our e-commerce operations, such as product quality, shipping, fulfillment, customer service, or compliance.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, best practices, and innovations in e-commerce, especially on Amazon, and apply them to our business.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field and 10 years experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area OR 10 years experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area.
  • 10+ years of experience leading direct or cross-functional global teams through complex projects
  • 5+ years of experience working with or at Amazon
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
