Hardscape and Landscape Installer

Job Summary
Hardscape and Landscape installer

General Accountabilities

  • Operates power equipment to excavate/prepare areas for harscape/landscape installation
  • Utilizes hand tools for digging, trenches, spreading, etc.
  • Gather equipment, tools, and materials
  • Drives truck and trailer
  • Works closes with manager to ensure project is completed within specified timeframe and budget

Hardscape Installation

  • Sets concrete forms to desired pitch and depth
  • Checks forms to ensure proper construction
  • Directs the casting of the concrete and coordinates laborers
  • Lays out wall patterns or foundations, using straight edge, rule, or staked lines
  • Shapes, trims, and cuts stone
  • Sets vertical and horizontal alignment of structures
  • Mixes mortar, spreads mortar on concrete, stone, or foundation
  • Sets flagstone, stone, and manufactured stone in place, according to layout or pattern
  • Install brick pavers and retaining wall block

Landscape Installation

  • Installs shrubs, trees, plants, etc. per design/plan
  • Digs holes to proper depth for plant material installation
  • Installs landscape lighting
  • Installs drainage solutions (pipes, connectors, catch basins, etc.)

Job Qualifications

  • Experience: 1-2 years' experience as a hardscape installer
