Role Overview

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join our team as the Director of Architecture and Design. In this role, you will have the ultimate responsibility for overseeing the design and permitting aspects of projects within WINN's design/build process. You will be instrumental in leading our design studio and managing the design team to ensure the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architectural design and development tasks, including schematic design, design development, and the creation of all necessary drawings, calculations, engineering work, and specifications.
  • Manage and direct the design team, providing guidance and support throughout the design and construction process.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Architecture and Design department, ensuring consistency and quality in project deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with the leadership team to achieve agreed-upon commitments and align with the company's core processes and operating system.
  • Identify areas of improvement to increase revenue, improve profitability, and enhance efficiency within the Architecture and Design team.
  • Attract, retain, and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching and mentorship to team members.
  • Cultivate and manage healthy relationships with strategic partners and vendors.
  • Demonstrate a passion for values alignment, focus, simplicity, and clarity across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) or Master of Architecture (M.Arch) degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 10 years progressive experience in the field, including experience in project management and team leadership.
  • Proven experience in residential architecture and design, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of architectural design principles, building codes, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of successfully leading and developing a team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • A customer-centric mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Architectural licensure is required.

Requirements and Benefits
