NON-CDL Street Sweeper Operator

Seeking driver for street sweeping vehicle. Mostly day work M-F with occasional nights or weekends required. We are veteran friendly and offer a signing bonus on completion and passing of training/probationary period. Ideal candidate will have a clean MVR, must be at least 21 years old, driving or heavy equipment operating experience, read maps well and be able to lift/carry 50 plus pounds.
Responsibilities include:
1. Operating and maintaining street sweeping equipment: This involves driving and operating a street sweeper vehicle and backpack blower to clean streets, parking lots, and other public areas. Maintenance of the equipment may include regular cleaning, inspection, and minor repairs.
2. Cleaning streets and public spaces: Street sweepers are responsible for removing debris such as litter, leaves, branches, dirt, and other waste from roadways, curbsides, sidewalks, gutters, and public areas to keep them clean and presentable.
3. Operating equipment safely: It is important for street sweepers to adhere to safe operating procedures while driving the vehicle in traffic or alongside pedestrians. They should also comply with traffic laws.
4. Reporting issues: Street sweepers may need to report any potential hazards or issues they encounter during their work such as blocked drainage systems or damage to road surfaces.
5. Following schedules: They often follow established schedules for cleaning specific areas at designated times in order to maintain cleanliness on a regular basis.
