We are looking for somebody willing to cross-training with other positions with the possibility of growth within the company and becoming a full-time employee.

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday and possible Saturdays
  • 1st shift - Start time: 1:00 am, 2:00 am or 3:00 am
  • Pay rate: $17.50 -$19.00

Summary

The scaler position is responsible for providing accurate measures and maintaining the integrity of the raw ingredients that are required to produce baked goods. The position monitors materials and processes to detect problems during the operation, inspects equipment and materials for possible breakdowns and/or defects. The position also performs general physical activities, it also performs adjusting and testing on machines.

Qualifications

  • The Scaler reads work orders or formulas to determine the types and quantities of material to weigh.
  • Sort weight materials used for production.
  • The Scaler records the weight of materials into designated bins or containers according to weight or type Knowledge of equipment Proven ability to operate in a team environment.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) Read the formulas correctly to ensure the product is correct Reading skills, Basic math skills and Ability to track and log
  • measurements.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work hours more than forty (40) hours will be required.
