Job Description:
Ø As a DP Chemical Operator I, you will produce, and package batches produce in Marlboro manufacturing areas for the semiconductor industry.
Summary of Job:
Ø Perform manufacturing batch processing tasks as specified in written procedures to support the production, packaging, and handling of materials at Client’s Semiconductor Technology, Marlborough, MA.
Ø The position requires a focus on safety, strong communication skills, and a resiliency to attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Ø Maintain a safe working environment and participate in all required safety programs, training, and activities.
Ø Follow Operating Discipline principles, procedures and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
Ø Produce chemical batches by adding raw materials into a chemical vessel and following standard operating procedures.
Ø Handling hazardous raw materials and products with appropriate care and precautions.
Ø Operate and field check process equipment. Monitor process conditions, equipment, and DCS/Delta V control systems.
o Receive direction from area leads/supervisor and complete assigned tasks.
o Complete routine and repetitive activities such as labeling, forming and filling boxes, moving materials and equipment.
Work Hours:
Ø Must be able to work all scheduled times of the week.
Ø First shift is 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
Ø The position offers overtime hours contingent on business demand.
Background/Skill Requirements:
Ø Minimum requirement of High School Diploma or GED.
Ø Experience in a manufacturing environment and/or clean room is preferred.
Ø Fork Truck operation experience a plus.
Ø Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Ø Exceptional Attention to Detail.
Ø Self-motivating and hard working.
Physical Requirements:
Ø Light to moderate physical effort required.
Ø Standing/Walking for the majority of the 8-hour shift.
Ø Lifting required occasionally of up to 40 pounds.
Ø Bending, pushing and pulling required on a daily basis.
Ø Ability to occasionally work at table level and/or overhead level as necessary.
Ø Required to wear appropriate PPE.
Ø Required to work in a RESTRICTED electrically classified area for use of flammable and combustible materials.
Work Environment:
Ø Work performed in a plant environment.
Ø Exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, chemical and other elements.
Ø Required to wear appropriate and designated PPE within certain areas of the plant (e.g. hard-hat, goggles, gloves, respirator, cleanroom garment).
