Aegis Worldwide is seeking an experienced and hands-on individual to join our client's team as a Process Engineer. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment. As the go-to person on the floor, they will be responsible for troubleshooting, training operators, and ensuring the smooth operation of their equipment.

Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for maintaining quality standards, improving department profitability, and driving process efficiency. Responsibilities include developing process methods and controls, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment, managing capital projects, and leading new equipment trials. The engineer must possess hands-on experience and be comfortable working closely with operators on the floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or related discipline

• 3-5+ years of experience in plastics manufacturing process engineering

• Experience with blow film and bag-making process knowledge preferable

• Familiar with lean manufacturing processes and concepts -- any certifications are a PLUS

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in real time.

• Strong understanding of machine interfaces, heaters, and the operational aspects of extrusion equipment.
