Manufacturing Process Engineer

Aegis Worldwide is searching for a Process Engineer tojoin the team at a large, global organization in the plastic manufacturing industry. This process engineer will be involved with CapEX Projects, and help with process improvement, new equipment installations, product trials and production troubleshooting efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Supports all technical aspects of production equipment in the Grottoes VA Plant, with goals of maintaining quality and improving department profitability.
• Develops process methods and controls to meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical equipment and process issues and provides technical leadership and training to resolve same.
• Understand equipment operation and function as required to determine preventive and predictive maintenance needs.
• Demonstrate team mindset and organizational agility by working closely with all team members and building strong, positive relationships.
• Demonstrate communication and listening skills with proven ability to communicate internally and externally with all levels of the organization.
• Assists with development of capital authorizations justified by cost reduction, reliability, repair and safety initiates.
• Manage small to medium capital projects. (10K to 500K)
• Manage documentation for process, future maintenance, safety, environmental and other policy compliance
• Lead and/or support new equipment, process, and product trials and production start-up efforts.

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of experience in process engineering, related work
• Experience in plastics manufacturing
• Engineering Degree is preferred
• Experience working on capital projects (10k-500k+)
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing processes and concepts
• Willingness to be hands-on, on the production floor and work closely with operators
• Previous involvement in cost reduction and process improvement projects.
