At Avenue Bistro Pub, we serve classic but elevated pub style food and shake up crafted cocktails. At all times of the year, we are a popular local Essex County hangout. Everything from brunch to private events we are the spot for it all.

As we enter fall, our busy season we are looking to expand our team with more passionate and experienced people to help us continue to deliver a high-quality experience.

About the Company

Avenue Bistro Pub is a one stop-shop for favorite American style dishes and crisp cold cocktails. We originally opened in 2008, recently three years ago we took on a new look turning from French dining to a gastropub. Since then, we have been continuously growing.

Role

  • Greet guests and communicate specials, menu items, restaurant locations, etc.
  • Assist in over seeing tables by checking in with customers
  • Take orders, serve food & beverages, up-sell high margin items using our mobile POS
  • Provide custom table service with Avenue Bistro standards
  • Have full menu knowledge (paired items, allergens, preparation)
  • Handle cash, credit card & gift card payments
  • Preform additional duties as needed (duties are to be directed by management)

Qualifications

  • 1 year of dining room supervising experience or 3 plus of hospitality experience
  • Strong verbal communication
  • Active listening skills
  • Excellent team player
  • Friendly and guest focused

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

  • 5 hour shift

Weekly day range:

  • Every weekend
  • Monday to Friday
