Responsibilities

  • Greeting and assisting patients
  • Maintaining professional demeanor
  • Answering the phone, making appointments, and collecting information needed for appointments
  • Calling to confirm appointments or to make follow-up appointments
  • Confirming and entering insurance information
  • Entering procedures into the computer
  • Preparing insurance claims through Dentrix
  • Collecting copays and deductibles as required
  • Entering periodontal charting

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior dental front office experience preferred
  • Experience with Dentrix preferred

Skills

  • Must speak Spanish
  • Basic familiarity with Windows
  • Initiative and attention to detail
  • Checking, inputting, and dealing with insurance companies
  • Familiarity with practice management software, Dentrix skill a plus

Physical requirements

  • Prolonged sitting at a computer
  • Use of a mouse and keyboard (style preferences can be accommodated)
