Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for an experienced Construction Bookkeeper to advance the company’s overall accounting department workflow. The Bookkeeper will maximize utilization of computer software, internet, and telephone to streamline and increase efficiency.

 

Candidates must possess 5 years of Bookkeeping experience with Construction experience a plus.

 

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Excellent knowledge of Accounts Payable procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of Accounts Receivable procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of General Ledger procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of Standard accounting procedures
  • Pre-Lien procedures
  • Conditional and Unconditional Waiver procedures
  • (Construction experience preferred)

SKILLS:

  • Excellent with Accounting Software (SAGE preferred), Windows, Excel, Word, Email, Chrome, Printing, Scanning, PDF
  • Setup project folders and gather all required documents
  • Solid record keeping and organization
  • Able to gather and compile data from multiple sources and prepare reports
  • Problem solver, work under pressure, and be able to meet deadlines

ABILITY TO:

  • Gather, Record, Code, and Process Day-to-Day Accounts Payable
  • Gather, Record, Code, and Process Day-to-Day Accounts Receivable
  • Prepare and Update Pay Applications on construction industry forms
  • Learn various website portals for posting Invoices and Schedule of Values
  • Prepare and Track Invoicing Waivers and Releases
  • Prepare and Track project Pre-Liens
  • Prepare and Track various types of project documentation
  • Communicate with Customers on collecting outstanding Invoices
  • Handle and treat confidential information with sensitivity
  • Multi-task and work efficiently with minimal supervision
