Location: Baldwin Park, California

Shift Details: Monday- Friday, 2PM -10:30PM, overtime will be required during peak season

Pay Rate:$24 -$25 an hour

As a Maintenance Mechanic you will troubleshoot and communicate mechanical issues in the production area and maintain repairs on plant equipment, conduct preventative maintenance, work orders, and ensure continuous operation of mechanical and electrical systems on mobile and fixed manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities:

 

• Prior experience with welding Warehouse safety, quality and legal compliance.

• Adheres to safety, food safety, quality and legal compliance.

• Knowledge of warehouse safety, quality and legal compliance.

• Must be able to pass training/certifications as required for qualification.

• Install, maintain and support all production related equipment utilized in processing areas.

• Use a variety of test equipment, machines, hand tools and computer aided equipment.

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production needs in an expeditious professional manner.

• Ability to read blueprints

• Commercial refrigeration experience is a plus.

• Perform maintenance in accordance with maintenance schedules, utilizing appropriate blueprints, diagrams, sketches, national codes and verbal/written instructions.

• Maintain a clean and orderly shop and work area.

• Assist other mechanics when performing heavy jobs.

• Repair and maintenance of packaging equipment, dismantling and assembling multiple brands of mechanical and electrical equipment, repair and replacement of defective parts, and knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

• Fabricating and welding as necessary to repair parts and equipment.

• General understanding and compliance with all OSHA regulations, National Electrical Codes, State Mechanical Codes and other Plant/Facility Operational or safety procedures.

• Ability to comply with and execute the established preventive maintenance and work order/repair program in place.

• Document completed work as required by the supervisor.

Requirements:

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand 6-8+ hours

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.+

• Frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25-40 lbs.

• Frequent bending and lifting
