As a Mission Critical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and optimization of mechanical systems for Mission Critical facilities such as data centers, telecommunications hubs, and other high-tech environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that demand precision, reliability, and innovation.
Responsibilities:
System Design and Analysis: Design and analyze Mechanical and Plumbing systems for Mission Critical facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop integrated solutions that meet the unique demands of Mission Critical environments.
Mechanical & Plumbing Engineering:
Design and optimize HVAC systems, ensuring energy efficient and reliable operation in Mission Critical facilities.
Perform thermal load calculations, airflow & waterflow analysis, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and equipment selections to meet stringent environmental control requirements.
Design plumbing systems with a focus on water efficiency, sustainability, and reliability. Ensure the seamless integration of plumbing systems within the Mission Critical infrastructure.
Collaboration:
Work closely with project teams, including electrical engineers, architects, structural engineers, civil engineers and other stakeholders to coordinate Mechanical and Plumbing systems with overall project requirements. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to foster effective communication and integration of design elements. Travel for design meetings, coordination and construction administration may be required.
Code Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Stay abreast of industry codes, standards, and emerging technologies relevant to Mission Critical facilities. Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure that designs meet or exceed client expectations and industry best practices.
Project Management:
Assist in project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and monitoring project progress. Provide technical expertise to support the successful execution of Mission Critical projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is desired but not required.
Professional Engineering (PE) license is desired but not required.
3 years of experience in design / engineering, with a focus on Mission Critical facilities.
Proficiency in relevant design software and tools (CFD, Load Calculations, etc.)
Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD is desired.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
