* SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE *

The CNC Manufacturing Engineer with CNC Programming experience will provide knowledge and guidance of cutting tools, troubleshooting process and failures as well as improve CNC processes for machined and assembled parts.

This position requires…

- advanced knowledge in multi axis machines, milling/ turning machines, Swiss turning machines, and standard conventional machining processes

- a complete understanding of Esprit CAM (other platforms will be reviewed), G-code, and macro programming.

- working knowledge and hands-on ability to perform machine run offs, set ups, and start-ups.

- broad and in-depth knowledge of multiple machine control systems with a wide knowledge of multiple machining platforms.

- communicating expectations clearly while holding everyone, including self, accountable for job-related expectations.

  • Provide CNC technical expertise or support a variety of CNC machines, including multi axis/pallet machines.
  • Review product designs for manufacturing completeness.
  • Monitor testing of finished products to establish standards or validate process requirements.
  • Evaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.
  • Determine root causes of failures or recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
  • Apply continuous improvement methods, such as lean manufacturing, to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide support to help with the development of manufacturing people and processes in a machining and assembly organization.
  • Develops tool setup sheets for operators and machinists to support manufacturing operations.
  • Provide technical support during DFM process regarding new and current product development.

· Direct supervisory responsibility of a small team consisting of CNC programming, maintenance, and tool room support.

* REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE *

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience in a manufacturing related field (5 to 7 years).

- Minimum of 2 to 4 years’ experience in a lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement environment.

- Expert level of experience in programming, machine setup, and operation of CNC machines.

- Experience in Esprit Cam preferred.

- Expert level of understanding and experience with CNC controllers (Fanuc, OSP, Siemens, etc.)

- Proficient to expert level of effective communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficient to expert level of demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.

This position requires compliance with ITAR requirement. Must be a “U.S. Person” (per ITAR 120.15) and are required to show proof substantiating this upon being hired.
