We are seeking a detailed-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. The Medical Biller will be responsible for working both insurance and patient AR, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, appealing and/or submitting for reconsideration of denied claims, maintaining current and correct insurance information on patient accounts, creating and managing all patient payment plans, posting patient payments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of billing procedures.

This position is crucial in the revenue cycle, ensuring precision in the billing process for both patients and insurance companies.

Responsibilities:

- Investigate and appeal denied claims
- Follow up on any unpaid or denied claims and resubmit for appeals/reconsiderations as necessary

- Verify patient insurance coverage and manage COB issues with active patients

- Run and post all patient payments taken over the phone

- Collaborate with insurances and administration to resolve any billing discrepancies

- Stay current with all insurance changes and billing regulations

- Handle patient inquiries regarding billing and provide clarification on charges, and answer questions for clerical staff and insurance companies.

- Monitor outstanding accounts receivable and initiate collections efforts when needed

Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Medical Biller or in a similar role

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
