Must have forklift experience.

Under direct and general supervision of the Receiving Manager, the Receiving Associate assembles, stacks and verifies shipments according to written orders, ensures accuracy of orders against shipments, unloads and places in-coming shipment materials into proper locations, and retrieves shipments as instructed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required, but do not define all job functions that may need to be performed. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

  • Loads and unloads truck shipments in a safe and efficient manner, including occasionally working in a confined space. Verifies contents against packing slips and/or orders.
  • Identifies and relocates materials to production area for filling, labeling, and packaging of products with a pallet jack or forklift.
  • Pulls raw materials samples for retention, and labels them properly for storage.
  • Lifts, carries, and counts cases to fill orders.
  • Ensures all transactions are F.I.F.O. (First in, first out) compliant.
  • Organizes and efficiently palletizes cases to appropriate locations.
  • Operates the pallet wrapper, forklift and pallet jack in a safe and appropriate manner abating safety hazards and abiding by guidelines/procedures established within the work environment.
  • Communicates necessary information and problems/complications to Receiving Manager.
  • Maintains a clean, uncluttered, and orderly work area and space.
  • May, on occasion, use company vehicle to transport supplies and materials to and from other warehouse or other locations as instructed.
  • Other duties as assigned within job scope.



INTERACTION
This role interacts closely with the Receiving team, the Shipping team, Warehouse Coordinator, freight drivers, and Production team.

EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE
Minimum: 

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 2 or more years working in a shipping department.


Location: Vista Ca.
Shift 6am-3pm Monday- Friday
