As an SMT Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment to manufacture electronic circuit boards. You will ensure that all products meet our quality standards and production goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in SMT operations, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate SMT equipment, including screen printers, pick and place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI machines.
  • Load components onto feeders and ensure proper setup of SMT lines.
  • Monitor the production process to ensure adherence to quality standards and production schedules.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of SMT equipment.
  • Conduct visual inspections and quality checks on assembled circuit boards.
  • Record production data and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience as an SMT Operator or in a similar role within the electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in operating SMT equipment and understanding of SMT processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and machine operation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work either 1st or 2nd shift as needed.
