Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Type: Full time (temp-to-hire)

Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of forklifts, as well as expertise in picking and packing products and using RFID technology. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of goods within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forklift Operation:
  • Operate forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and pallet jacks, to transport, lift, and stack products safely.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Picking and Packing:
  • Retrieve products from inventory according to order specifications and ensure accuracy.
  • Pack products securely to prevent damage during transit, including labeling and preparing items for shipment.
  • Verify product counts and check quality before packaging.
  • RFID Technology Usage:
  • Utilize RFID technology to track inventory and update stock levels in real-time.
  • Scan RFID tags and labels to facilitate accurate order fulfillment and inventory management.
  • Troubleshoot and report any RFID system issues or discrepancies.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and conduct cycle counts as required.
  • Organize and maintain a clean and orderly warehouse space.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any issues or concerns related to equipment or inventory.
  • Other Duties:
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Proven experience as a forklift operator with a valid forklift certification.
  • Experience with picking, packing, and using RFID technology in a warehouse environment.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to operate various types of forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Proficiency in using RFID technology and basic computer systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to [weight] pounds/kilograms).
  • Capability to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods.
  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
