This position is integral to maintaining the highest standards of quality within their production processes. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of quality procedures and compliance standards and will be capable of driving continuous improvement within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all levels of the PPAP with directives from the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Oversee the calibration system using Gage Trak software, perform calibrations to meet industry standards, and coordinate outsourcing calibrations with the Quality Assurance and Purchasing Managers.
  • Utilize High-QA software for Gage R&R and data analysis; update quality records within the RG server.
  • Work hands-on with quality technicians to ensure compliance with processes and customer requirements.
  • Conduct First Piece, Incoming, In-Process, and Final inspections as delegated by the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Lead project management programs as directed by the General Manager and/or the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Assist in Lean Manufacturing initiatives based on CARs and KPI results, maintaining communication with suppliers and customers.
  • Conduct time studies and assist the Engineering Department in improving processes with low efficiency rates.
  • Perform internal audits per customer, industry, regulatory, and statutory requirements, including on-site supplier visits.
  • Develop reports identifying key characteristics and critical dimensions; review data and conduct capability studies using High-QA software.
  • Assist in CMM programming with PC-DMIS and Modus software.

Qualifications:

  • Leadership experience in quality control, preferably within a rotating equipment manufacturing plant.
  • Thorough understanding of quality procedures, measurements, reports, and compliance standards (ISO, AS9100, IATF, ITAR, SOX).
  • Familiarity with production quality and the ability to implement improvements.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Experience with various measuring instruments, including ID/OD micrometers, calipers, snap gages, bore gages, CMMs (manual and CNC with PC-DMIS and Modus Software), Hofler gear inspection machines, dial indicators, and tooth verniers.
